Dual Channel Radio Remote Controller (DRC-2s)
The DRC-2s is an economic and sturdy base station control unit, specifically designed with simplicity of use and ease of configuration in mind. It provides full control of two remotely located radio sets via four wire 600 Ohm balanced landlines.
The DRC-2s provides both manual and computer access to and control over, the radio base station, with configurable signalling formats and priority given to either speech dominant or data dominant systems.
The DRC-2s boasts a number of user configurable features; these include the generation of Motorola Tone remote signalling or Simoco (2970Hz) key tone and M80 emulation, with both local and remote supervisories plus many other configurable features.
Full details are supplied with user documentation. The DRC-2s is fully compatible with our TC-1 remote tone receiver unit, should a non-Motorola or Simoco base station be deployed or chosen for a new project.
The DRC-2s can be configured by the user to provide talk through in one of two ways, either local or remote talk through.
If local talk through is enabled, then operation of the talk through switch creates a talk through path within the DRC-2s by connecting the input line to the output line and triggering PTT from the receive vox. The vox hang timer prevents syllabic loss during speech pauses. No control signals are sent to the base station in this mode of talk through operation.
